Affordable Care Act: Employer Reporting / 2023 Tax Return

  • Important information regarding your Affordable Care Act 1095-C form.

    You do not have to wait for your 1095-C or 1095-B forms to complete and file your 2023 tax return. You may use other forms of documentation to provide proof of your insurance coverage.     Under the Affordable Care Act, employers and insurance carriers are required to provide all full-time benefit eligible employees (who are regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week) with proof that health coverage was offered to them. All full-time benefit eligible employees will receive two IRS forms which can be used to help them complete their 2023 tax return.

    • The 1095-C form will be provided by PSUSD via mail to all full-time employees.
    • The 1095-B form will be provided by the medical administrators (SISC or NWA) via mail to all medically benefited employees. 

    March 2nd: deadline for the employer to provide employees their 1095-C form. They will use this form to help complete their 2023 tax return. This form does not need to accompany their 2023 tax return and should be saved in their files.

    March 2nd: deadline for SISC or NWA to provide employees with their 1095-B form. They will use this form to help complete their 2023 tax return. This form does not need to accompany their 2023 tax return and should be saved in their files.
