Prequalification of Contractors

The state of California requires prequalification of bidders for projects over $1 million. The Palm Springs Unified School District may Prequalify contractors for Public Works Projects on a job-per-job basis. Prequalification may be required for any Public Works formal bid, at the sole discretion of the District.
Prequalification is not to be confused with CUPCCAA Registration for informal bids.
All prequalification questionnaires must be submitted electronically via PSUSD's Quality Bidders' prequalification portal below:

How do I become prequalified?
All prequalification questionnaires must be submitted electronically via PSUSD's Quality Bidders' portal.
- Register through www.qualitybidders.com and create a login.
- Complete the Electronic Prequalification questionnaire.
- Upload pertinent documentation.
- Submit.

How do I receive my prequalification score?
The questionnaire will be scored through the Quality Bidders' portal and the system will generate a notice of your prequalification status.

How long is my prequalification valid?
An approved Prequalification status is valid for one calendar year from the date of notification. It is the Contractor's sole responsibility to maintain an approved status in order to bid on designated Public Works projects requiring prequalification.
