District Arts Office Artist In Residence - Christopher Bishop - Breakdancing Experiences and Beat Making/ Finger Drumming Programs

Christopher Bishop is a local artist and mentor for the Boys Arts Mentorship (B.A.M.) program. Christopher was introduced to hip-hop culture during his senior year at Cathedral City High School through childhood friends. He later graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a degree in Sociology/Administrative studies. Past experience includes working in digital marketing, renewable energy, and community-based nonprofits. His specialties are in graphic design and music production under his "3ish" moniker. He is still a practitioner of hip-hop and funk culture, from dancing to DJing at local street dance events. Growing up in the Coachella Valley himself, he understands what today's youth endure. Some of it goes unforeseen, so when it comes to giving them that time for positive encouragement, B.A.M. is the answer. No awards or accolades to mention, he just loves his work.
