CalKIDS can help kickstart your children’s college savings.

CalKIDS is a new program from the State of California that provides eligible families with free money for college. California's newborns can receive up to $175 and eligible California public school students can receive up to $1,500.* CalKIDS was created to help families kickstart their college savings plan and increase access to higher education.

Being a student at James Workman Middle School means much more than simply showing up with a backpack and leaving with homework assignments. At JWMS, students and staff communicate, learn and create in a growing technology-based environment. Our mascot, the Bighorn, embodies strength and perseverance - two qualities that our students possess.

Measure S will be on the November 5 Presidential Election ballot

If approved by 55% of ballots cast, it is expected to extend but not increase the district’s current tax rate to authorize $465 million of bonds to make renovations and improve schools and classrooms throughout the Palm Springs Unified School District.
