Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. This year's theme is YOU BELONG HERE!  We have had many great things going on over the summer, and we look forward to watching them unfold throughout the year. Our physical site is changing before our very eyes. Later in the fall, we look forward to moving our sixth-grade classes into our brand-new building. Once the new building is up, we will begin the modernization of our existing buildings, including our media center, locker rooms, and front office. With all of the construction going on, we thank you, in advance, for your patience as we experience heavier parking lot traffic.

Last year, we introduced AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement) as college and career readiness programs. Both programs have proven popular with students, and have earned certification from their respective institutions. This year, we look forward to even more AVID and MESA activities, including field trips, signing days, and competitions. On top of these two noteworthy programs, we will be hosting Club Live! and legendary coach John Wooden's Pyramid of Success. These programs have proven successful in fostering a positive learning environment for middle school students. We also look forward to more parent engagement, with counselor events and library book clubs. I want to give you all thanks for being part of our JWMS family, and I look forward to meeting you all at our different events. Welcome, again, to JWMS. YOU BELONG HERE!
