A message from your JCES Principal

Ms. Gomez, Principal

Dear Corsini Coyote Families, 

On behalf of the staff at Julius Corsini Elementary, I am happy to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year! As I begin my fourth year as the principal of Julius Corsini Elementary School, and 12th year serving the students of Desert Hot Springs, I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our students.

We are working to create a positive school culture, focused on student success, setting high standards for teacher performance, and increasing community engagement. I am looking forward to continuing a productive partnership with you to ensure your child can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make the difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring they:

• Attend school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience
• Complete all homework assignments given by teachers
• Reads daily to develop a love for reading and improve literacy skills
• Shares school experiences with you so you are aware of their school life

It is my goal this year, to continue to grow and improve communication and relationships between home and school. I eagerly anticipate getting to see all of our students back on campus again and getting to know your vision and goals for our school. I welcome you to join one of our many parent engagement groups, including: PTA (Parent Teacher Association), School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Council, Safety Committee, or help us start a new group to meet the needs of our families. 

I believe that collaboration fosters ownership of a rich school culture. Supporting our kids to do well at school, and in their lives, is the center of our work. I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve our Desert Hot Springs community and our students.
