The Board of Education has hired the firm of Leadership Associates to conduct the search for our new Superintendent to replace Dr. Christine Anderson, who is retiring June 20. Dr. Dennis Smith and Dr. Kent Bechler from Leadership Associates will be conducting meetings with various stakeholder groups to receive feedback on three important questions:

As part of the state's Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), all districts are required to prepare a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), which describes how we intend to meet annual goals for pupils, with specific activities to address state and local priorities identified. As we prepare our 2016-17 plan, Palm Springs Unified School District is seeking input from our community stakeholders including staff members, parents, business and community members regarding areas of focus, outcomes and strategies.
PSUSD, in partnership with Borrego Health, will launch its first centralized center for kindergarten enrollment at the Desert Hot Springs Wellness Center. Please see attached flyers for details. FREE backpacks filled with school supplies to the first 400 registrants!
The Language Academy will begin its second year for incoming kindergarten students this fall. The program is held at Vista del Monte Elementary and is open to all incoming PSUSD kindergarteners. Information sessions are slated. Please see attached flyers.
