• CHORUS

    Learns vocal skills and techniques using songs in multiple styles and genres. No singing experience is required; in addition to learning sets of music for each concert, students also learn how to read musical notation. Thee may be solo opportunities during the year, but students are not required to perform alone. At the end of the year, students can move up to Advanced Chorus which goes to music festivals and other events.

  • BEGINNING BAND

    Focuses on learning to read music and play an instrument. Instruments offered include Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, and Percussion.

    Students do not need to have prior Music experience but do need to demonstrate commitment, dedication, and persistence to be successful with an instrument. At the end of the year, students will have the opportunity to move up to Advanced Band, Wind Ensemble, and Marching Band for their next year in Music.

  • EXPLORATORY WORLD CULTURE learn about world cultures through creative art projects.

    EXPLORATORY CODING introduces students to the world of coding as well as offering other technical skills including typing and digital media. It exposes students to the complex world of computer programming and helps develop a deeper understanding of how computers work. Students spend their time on computer programs with incorporated projects.

    EXPLORATORY LITERATURE APPRECIATION learn about different genres of literature.

  • A.S.B

    The primary goals of the Raymond Cree ASB (Associated Student Body) class are to create memorable experiences for students, to promote Matador pride, and grow as student leaders.  Formal meetings are held weekly and ASB members oversee expenditures of student funds, the Student Store, and fundraising.
