Chromebooks are educational tools provided to support learning, creativity, collaboration, and access to digital resources both in the classroom and at home. Students are expected to use their devices responsibly, care for them properly, and follow district technology guidelines to help ensure they remain available and ready for learning every day.

Chromebook Care Checklist:

Bring your Chromebook to school, fully charged.
Transport it safely (case, backpack, avoid pressure on screen).
Keep food and drinks away from the device.

Chromebook Support

Basic Troubleshooting

Many common Chromebook issues can be resolved with a quick restart, checking your internet connection, or signing out and back in.

Before asking your Librarian - try these simple troubleshooting steps.

Device Won't Turn On

Charge your device for at least 30 minutes.
Check your charging cable and outlet are fully connected.
Hold the Chromebook's power button for 10 seconds to restart the device.

Wi-Fi Issues

Verify your internet connection is turned on and connected - with the correct password.
Restart Chromebook.
Hold the power button for 10 seconds for a hard-restart.
Forget and reconnect to Wi-Fi.
Turn Wi-Fi OFF; then ON again - attempt to reconnect.

Login Problems

Verify student username/password. Passwords are case-sensitive.
Log into PSUSD applications through Clever.

Frozen Chromebook

Attempt a hard-restart on your device; press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.

Learning Apps Not Working

Refresh the website page.
Restart your Chromebook.
Clear your Chromebook's cache and cookies.
