Outside Coursework
Palm Springs Unified School District ensures that all coursework applied toward high school graduation meets district standards, University of California and California State University eligibility requirements, and accreditation guidelines. To support this, students must complete and receive advance approval through the Outside Coursework Approval Form, initiated by the school counseling office, before enrolling in any non-PSUSD course for credit. Students are strongly encouraged to consult with their counselor prior to enrollment, as unapproved coursework will not be accepted and may result in loss of credit. Outside coursework will not replace a required PSUSD course when an equivalent is available at the school site, and families are responsible for confirming UC/CSU “a–g” and NCAA eligibility, with final credit awarded only after all requirements are verified.
