Mental Health Services

Three young girls with smiling faces are seated together in a classroom or educational setting, surrounded by colorful decorations and supplies.

Mission

The Mental Health program of Palm Springs Unified School District seeks
to provide competent and compassionate mental health services to
children and their families significantly affected by mental health challenges.

Clinicians are sent throughout the District visiting with students and
families in an effort to help these students rebound from mental health issues that would otherwise affect their ability to function optimally at school, home, and in the community.

Program

MediCAP services are provided to students in general education who are diagnosed with a mental illness and who - as a result of the diagnosis - evidence a significant decrement in school, home, community, and/or relational functioning.

We are able to meet students and families at the school sites, our office locations.
