Technical Theater Pathway

This hands-on program allows the students to learn about the action that goes on “behind the scenes” in a theatrical production. Students will be directly involved with the technical aspects of the Rancho Mirage High School Performing Arts Department’s productions as they design and construct sets, costumes and make-up; hang lights, create special effects, paint, and build props for productions. Students will learn specialized vocabulary and learn set design, lighting design, and costume design. The students will learn practical application, and real world skills, by working on productions.
