Accessibility Statement

PSUSD Website Accessibility Commitment

The Palm Springs Unified School District (PSUSD) wants everyone who visits our website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding. We are fully committed to ensuring that all members of our community, including those with disabilities, have equal access to our electronic information and data.

Our Accessibility Standard

To help us make the PSUSD website a positive and inclusive place for everyone, we have adopted the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

These internationally recognized guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more user-friendly for everyone. The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA, and AAA). We have chosen Level AA as the official target for the Palm Springs Unified School District website.

We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to this Level AA standard and maintain compliance with Section 504 and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Accessibility Tool

PSUSD utilizes the AudioEye service as an ongoing effort to monitor and enhance the accessibility and usability of our website. The AudioEye solution provides:

  • Automated Remediation: Tools that help resolve certain accessibility issues identified on the website.
  • User Tools: A customizable toolbar and help desk for visitors to personalize their experience (e.g., visual adjustments, screen reader optimization).
