Palm Springs High School Science Department Chairperson Teresa Haga and Principal Ricky Wright have been selected as one of 17 Outstanding Educational Leaders by Region 10 of the California League of High Schools (CLHS).

Wright, and Haga, who teaches physics and earth science and is Communications Liaison for Small Learning Communities at Palm Springs High, will be honored at an awards banquet at the Riverside Marriott on Dec. 2. The Educator of the Year Award for Region 10 will be bestowed upon one of the eight teacher honorees who will compete at the State level for the California League of High Schools State Educator of the Year Award at the annual conference in Monterey, CA.

Haga and Wright are the only Coachella Valley educators to be named CLHS Region 10 honorees.
