Students and staff members from Desert Hot Springs High School received eight nominations and won in two categories two in the 22nd Annual Desert Theater League awards for their two productions during the 2008-09 school year.
Dillon Baird and Scott Green won the Props/Special Effects Award and Arren Roberson won in the Best Lead Actor category, both for the school's production of "Frankenstein.: Other nominations for "Frankenstein" included: Set Design – Dionsio Tafoya; Sound Design – Dillon Baird; Lighting Design – Scott Green; and Overall Production and Director Youth Theatre - Ryan Landmann;
Nominations for “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown” are for Musical Director Youth Theatre – Michael Bukraba and Brian McDaniel; and Choreographer Youth Theatre – Jessica Courtright.
The winners were announced at the Desert Theater League Awards ceremony on November 15 at Sun City Shadow Hills.
